1. Introduction

Searchira is a Chrome extension designed to help users search, access, organize, and work with Jira Cloud issues directly from the browser. This Privacy Policy explains what information Searchira processes, how it is used, and where it is stored.

2. Information Processed by Searchira

Searchira may process the following information as required to provide its functionality:

• Jira connection information: Jira server URL, account email address, and Jira API token.
• Jira issue information: Issue keys, titles, statuses, issue types, priorities, project information, URLs, and other Jira issue content required for search and display.
• Pinned issues: Jira issues saved by the user as Quick Access pins, including their order.
• Search and extension settings: User preferences such as filters, language, Searchira settings, and the Jira inline pin-button preference.
• Current Jira page information: When relevant Searchira features are used, the extension may identify the currently opened Jira issue in the active browser tab.

3. Purpose of Processing

The information processed by Searchira is used only to provide the extension's Jira-related functionality.

• Connect to the Jira Cloud instance configured by the user.
• Search and display Jira issues.
• Filter and sort Jira search results.
• Open Jira issues directly.
• Store and display Quick Access pins.
• Refresh saved Jira issue information.
• Pin or unpin issues directly from Jira pages.
• Provide copy actions for Jira issue information.
• Store Searchira preferences and settings.

4. Data Storage

Searchira stores Jira connection information, settings, preferences, and pinned issues in Chrome extension storage on the user's browser.

Temporary unsaved changes to Jira connection fields may be stored separately in Chrome session storage so they are not lost while the extension is being used. These temporary values are separate from the saved Jira connection.

Searchira does not operate its own server for storing user Jira credentials, Jira issue data, search data, or extension settings.

5. Communication with Jira

Searchira communicates directly with the Jira Cloud instance configured by the user. Jira connection information is used as required to authenticate requests to that Jira instance and retrieve the information needed for Searchira's features.

Data sent to or received from Jira is subject to the policies and terms of the Jira service used by the user.

6. No Sale or Unrelated Use of Data

Searchira does not sell user data and does not use Jira connection information, Jira issue information, or extension usage data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes.

Searchira does not send user data to the Searchira developer for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes.

7. Browser Permissions

Searchira uses browser permissions only where required to provide its functionality.

• storage: Used to store Jira connection information, pinned issues, and Searchira preferences in Chrome extension storage.
• activeTab: Used when Searchira needs to identify or interact with the Jira issue currently open in the active browser tab.
• Host permissions: Used to communicate with the Jira Cloud instance configured by the user, including Jira API requests for search and issue information.

8. Browsing Activity

Searchira does not monitor general browsing activity or maintain a browsing history. Access to Jira pages is used only for Jira-related Searchira functionality.

9. Data Sharing

Searchira does not share user data with the extension developer or unrelated third parties. Data is exchanged with the Jira service configured by the user only as required to provide Jira functionality.
